The Power of the Small

I always say, "Don't under estimate the power of the small."  You never know when something so small is actually more powerful than you think.

As many of you know, I have ten Meetup groups, have about 3,800+ members.  Each one of my groups has 300+ and up, to as high as 1,100+ in the PR group.  Well, the Organizer group has only 98 members.  That looks so small.  The community groups are smaller and that's understandable.

Since the year end is getting closer, organizing the fine details and getting things ready for next year is a must.  So, I started with the small group, the Organizer group.  After spending a long time, manually adding up the number of groups that each Organizer owns, and the number of members that each group has, minus the handful of Organizers that are not organizing anymore, we still have a large number of members combined in our Organizer Network.  Guess what the number is.  It is 22,097.

Yes, all the Organizers in our Meetup Organizer Network have a total number of 22,097 members combined as one Organizer Network.  This number can change as their group changes.

My next question was, why are there Organizer no longer organizing?  It tell me that, (1) many of the talented individuals wanted to start their group because they have great resources in house that they want to share.  (2) Many of our Organizers needed help, but not getting in the right areas at the right time.

So, with all that said and done, we are moving up the ladder with more action items and game plans for you.  Stay tuned for our newsletter for upcoming events that will address this areas.  I want to help you all groom your Organizer skill and own your own group and run it successfully if you wish.

Be back soon with more details for you.
