New Look for BusinessPRNews Site!
Yes, we have a new look!
We did it again! To keep up with the demands of new technology, new people and things, we updated our site to a whole new look on a whole new level.
Yes, for those of you who have been with us since 2004, we went from a simple Message Board posting for one group on Meetup to a full website posting for ten groups with more options and features in 2009 today.
We have grown from one group in 2004 to five groups in 2006, and now to 10 groups today!
Since we have a lot more information to post about our groups, we decided to buy the Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 to do our PDF newsletter. Shortly after purchasing the version 7 from Adobe Acrobat Professional, we bought version 8 for better features.
Our PDF newsletters were doing pretty good until one day, our newsletter had become so big that members who use dial up modem could not open the PDF.
Late 2006, we received phone calls and emails that some of our members who were using dial-up modem could not open the PDF. I checked it out and the newsletter was 23 MB - no wonder.
By late 2006, we moved to using a 5-pager website for our newsletter postings. We were doing fine until we received phone calls and emails that our pages were blank. Through working with tech support for our site, we found out that the 5-page templated website could not take more than 600 characters per section or per page.
With another decision to make, we went from our first newsletter 5-pager website, for $20 a year to a full website for $19.95 a month.
Looking back in time, we started out simply updating the message board posting back in 2004 with one Meetup group until we grew to 10 Meetup groups today. It was challenging to update the message board for the same thing posted across all our groups.
We started with Front Page for our full design website until we receceived feedback from our members saying they didn't like the look of the Front Page website.
With the desire to satisfy our members, we went shopping again and bought the Dreamweaver CS3 package with everything in it for building a quality website.
With the built-in template from Dreamweaver, we were able to have a nice looking website, but it wasn't enough. Something was missing. It wasn't pretty.
I went searching and found some very nice looking templates to go with Dreamweaver, and so we started a new look in early 2008.
And now, to catch up with technology, we have this beautiful site that you're looking at right now with more features for our members.
During all these times, while we grew, we created the VIP membership in 2007 to help offset expenses incured monthly from Meetup, hosting the newsletter website and programs purchased to help make our site look better, offering more and paying for design teams to build our VIP Community at BusinessPRwire.com our site for VIP members to promote their businesses .
Today, we have once again, moved up to the next level for our website and here we are; a new look with more options for our members.
