Great meeting today!  The organizers who attended brought a lot of information to share.  We brainstormed a lot of do's and don't's for Meetup Organizers.  It's like the Mastermind of Meetup Organizers.  Stay tuned for our meeting minutes coming up on our Monthly Newsletter.

Have you thought of ways to help a community grow?  That's why I started my Meetup.  Have you thought of ways to increase your presence in the eyes of your potential customers?  Well, Meetup is good for that.  Many of you have thought of starting a Meetup group on your own, some did, some made it, but some got discouraged. 

Would you like to know how to avoid the pitfalls and have a successful group?
Come on right in today and pick up the Successful Tips from me.  I have 10 Meetup groups and run monthly meetings for each of the groups.  I have been organizing Meetup for 6 years.  Come and have fun.  Come on in and learn.  And, of course, come on in and network with other Organizers and business people in our groups.  All my messages are sent to all my groups here in DFW.

Come join us for lunch and get this YP&YG (Young Parents & Young Grandparents) group kicked off for 2010.  I am looking forward to share ideas and fun times as a young parent (once upon a time)   and as a young grand parent with you.  Personally, I enjoy the title "Grandma!"

There are a lot of fun things to do as a parent, and definitely a lot of exciting things to do as a grand parent.

To those of you who are very successful as a young parent, come share your great tips with us.

And to those of you who are new to the experience as young parents or young grand parents, we invite you to come. This is a fun and exciting group, sharing ideas and best practices with one another.

It has been a great week.  We had three meetings this week.  Each meeting had a different topic and subject for three different groups.  Monday, the 18th was on marketing tips.  Wednesday, the 20th was on Entrepreneur's Success.  Thursday, the 21st was our Internet group's presentation on making your own app for iPhones and iPods.  Meeting minutes will be ready by the end of this week.  Stay tuned.

This week's meetings and events have been excellent!  The news media speaker, Scott Walker, a veteran radio show host, gave us fantastic insight on how to "pitch" the media.  We have the audio recording of the event.  We will post it this week once the audio is ready. 

On Wednesday, January, 13th, we kicked off this month's focus for our Business group: Successful Tips for a Growing Business.  The first topic of the meeting was 10 Pitfalls to Avoid.  This was the kickoff of our year-long Learning Series 2010 - Focus On Success.  We had  very good participation and input from the attendees.  Stay tuned for the audio section of this event.  Thank you all for attending this week.

This is our first day back at Networking!  This is our first day back to Studio Movie Grill.  We had many new members attending today.  It was very good.  Our news media speaker, Scott West, broadcast veteran, shared his tips with us.  After the event was over, many stayed around and continued to ask questions of Scott and listened attentively.  Scott spent another hour with those who had questions for him.  It was a very good day.  More information about the event will be posted with pictures and more.

I created two newsletters this weekend for our groups.  One is a monthly newsletter. The other is a weekly Upcoming Events newsletter.  There are so many groups out there.  We need to make sure that we keep everyone up to date about our groups, so everyone can stay in touch.  Please be sure to read everything that is in both newsletters.  This way, every opportunity is reviewed by you to tap into more PR for your business!

What's your New Year resolution?  Mine was to align all my meeting formats the same way, have all different locations covered, have at least once or twice a week networking meetings and events for our members, and more. Yes, I did just that these past few days.  So, in our groups' calendars, you will see the meetings all set up for January for you, ready to click on and RSVP.  Most of all, yes, I am going to teach and share my knowledge with you all in each group.  "How did you do that?  How do you do this?" Well, come to our meetings and  you'll learn on Business, Entrepreneur, Internet, Marketing, Organizer and PR.  We'll be posting the event on our sites tonight. So, stay tuned.
